And a lot of these “must-do” exercises are straight up reckless.
First, let’s kill the sacred cow that is the back squat…
Loading a barbell onto your back requires you to extend your shoulders into a position that causes the lower back to extend, compromising the spine of all but the most elite and mobile people on the planet…
Leading to lower back pain, and often, serious injury.
When you do a barbell overhead press, you have to reach the bar around your whole head while keeping your group in the uncomfortable wide position, placing your shoulder joints in a damaging position.
Why would we do this when we have a straight up better option at our disposal with the same equipment?
